Bill Hoffman

  

While starting Basin Street Development, Bill serves as President of Woodward Interests, a position he has held since January 2016.


Over the past fifteen years, he has led or co-developed numerous projects, including the Alder Hotel, The Julia on St. Charles, the Giani Building, and the Southern Food and Beverage Museum. Bill was also part of the development team responsible for transforming the World Trade Center Building in New Orleans into a Four Seasons Hotel & Residences Complex, a $550 million project. He has significant experience working with various types of financing and tax credit programs, including historic tax credits and new market tax credits.


Prior to his present roles, Bill was the Chief Financial Officer of Bayou Bend Petroleum Ltd., a $150 million oil and gas exploration company which is listed on the TSXVenture Exchange, from 2007 to 2009. From 1993 to 2007, he was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at C.F. Bean LLC. Before that, he was a Partner at KPMG, a global public accounting firm.

Bear Cheezem

  

Before founding Basin Street Development, Bear served as Vice President of Woodward Interests since February 2016. 


During his time at Woodward, he has served as Development Manager on several projects including the Alder Hotel. More recently, he was part of the Four Seasons development team and worked as co-developer for The Julia at St. Charles, a mixed-use apartment complex at 730 Julia Street. He also has significant experience working with various types of tax credit programs. 


Prior to Woodard Interest, Bear worked in Development at SC Housing, where he coordinated with local governments and non-profits to stabilize property values by removing blighted properties in strategically targeted areas. He also worked at M&M Capital where he focused on financing multifamily and retail development and acquisitions.
